Privacy Policy

Effective July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TruNorth Consulting, Inc. ("TruNorth", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit trunorthconsulting.com (the "site") or contact us through it. We keep data collection to what we need to answer your questions and run our business, and we do not sell personal information.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form (for example our contact form or the Phantom Tax check), or email or call us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, business email, company, phone number, and anything you write in your message.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we collect standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the source that referred you. We collect this only after you accept analytics cookies (see below).

Cookies and your choices

The site uses cookies for analytics and to improve how it works. We load analytics with Google Consent Mode, which means analytics and advertising storage stay denied until you accept. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline. If you decline, we do not set analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's cookies in your browser.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and provide the services you ask about.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site.
  • To understand which content and pages are useful, in aggregate.
  • To follow up about relevant services where you have asked us to or where permitted by law.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third parties to run the site and process the information you submit. They may process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

  • Google Analytics 4 for website analytics.
  • HubSpot for forms, contact management, and site tracking.
  • Typeform for the Phantom Tax check.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag for advertising measurement and audiences. It sets cookies only if you accept advertising cookies in the banner.

We also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to you and for our legitimate business and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. If you are in the EEA or the UK, these rights come from the GDPR. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you similar rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email us at the address below and we will respond as required by law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
