Christy Lewis

Bill Pay Manager

Christy is the Bill Pay Manager at TruNorth and joined the team in 2021. After studying both Human Resource and Emergency Management at Arkansas Tech University, she found what she loved most about her job was the finance piece. Before joining the TruNorth team, Christy worked as the Director of Homeownership & Asset Development for a community action agency. She managed a team of HUD-certified counselors and multi-million dollar federal and state grants.

Christy loves numbers. She takes pride in protecting her client’s dollars and considers a word as good as a contract.

You will find Christy volunteering in her community, serving on various committees and boards, and traveling to see her adult children outside of work.

Christy grew up in rural Oklahoma and moved to Arkansas after marrying her husband. They have three sons, three dogs and call the community of Cedarville, Arkansas home.

Q: What are your main responsibilities @ TruNorth?

I am accountable for the success of our Bill Pay program. My team ensures invoice accuracy, guarantees invoices are paid on time, and delivers monthly reconciliations, allocations and reporting to clients.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A girl can have more than one favorite, right? Internally – the team! TruNorth’s collaborative learning environment, seeing our core values in action every day. Externally – building solid relationships with clients.

Q: If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Ahh, you’re killing me. I guess I’ll go with Portable Sounds by TobyMac but with all the lyrics stored in my memory, I probably wouldn’t have the sing the same song to myself twice.

Q: Are you a night owl or a morning person?

Oh, morning for sure!

Q: Dogs or cats?

Dogs. Dogs. Dogs.

Q: Phrase you find yourself uttering often?

Sadly, it’s “I’m so funny!” to sound like Agnes from Despicable Me after she gets the fluffy unicorn.
