Founder & CEO
Emily is driven by her core belief: “there’s always a better way.” She began her career with AT&T at the ripe age of 22, where she quickly spotted the still present disconnect between provider and enterprise client. Emily founded TruNorth in 2005 to change that. Sometimes a therapist, sometimes a translator, Emily and the TruNorth team disrupt the status quo to deliver clarity and confidence, alongside substantial savings, every time.
Emily’s passion is building relationships. She is fortunate to lead a team of big hearts + brains, and partner with some of the brightest client leaders.
Emily is a lover of life, adventurer, learner and frequent traveler. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Michigan State University and lives in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
Q: What are your main responsibilities @ TruNorth?
A: My focus is squarely on building the business, which really means scaling without sacrifice right now. We’ve set our own bar incredibly high, so ensuring our delivery wows our clients at every turn as we grow requires a relentless commitment to excellence.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: Freedom and ringing the bell. Freedom to bring my whole self to work. Freedom to do the right thing, for our clients and our team. Ringing the bell for wins large and small. Our team consistently raises our client’s expectations through powerful wins, which always comes with some bell ringing.
Q: If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Just one?! Vintage: Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors Current: Maggie Rogers’ Heard It In A Past Life.
Q: Are you a night owl or a morning person?
A: Morning, by a landslide.
Q: Dogs or cats?
A: Dogs! Plural, the more the better.
Q: Phrase you find yourself uttering often?
A: Let’s solve the problem, not just treat the symptom.
